Waste fuel and kerosene collection
Old fuel is hazardous waste. You cannot legally tip it, bin it or drain it. We collect it under licence and the liability leaves with the load.

| Duty of care | Anyone who produces, keeps or disposes of controlled waste must store it securely, check that whoever removes it is authorised, and keep the paperwork. Environmental Protection Act 1990, s.34 |

| Registered carrier | Transporting controlled waste requires registration with the Environment Agency, SEPA or the NIEA. Handing it to an unregistered party adds to your liability rather than transferring it. Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 |
| Consignment note | Hazardous waste moves under a consignment note with the correct EWC code, kept for three years. Typically 13 07 01, 13 07 02 or 13 07 03 for fuels. |
| Unlawful disposal | Tipping, binning or draining it carries an unlimited fine and, on indictment, up to five years imprisonment. EPA 1990, s.33 |
What we collect
Old and stale petrol, degraded or contaminated diesel, red diesel and gas oil, kerosene, domestic and commercial heating oil, tank bottoms, water-contaminated fuel and the contents of decommissioned tanks. Single drums through to full tanker loads.
